Family Law

The overlap between family law and other areas of law is increasing.

As a general practice firm we are well placed to advise and act for clients whose commercial, trust, or property activities have family law implications.  We routinely advise on Property (Relationships) Act 1976 matters, which include:

  1. preparing relationship property agreements
  2. providing strategic advice regarding property interests prior to a relationship, or prior to a separation
  3. assisting with the implementation of relationship property agreements when a relationship ends
  4. advising about the Court’s approach to determining property interests
  5. obtaining appropriate property valuation advice particularly when values are disputed
  6. experienced representation through negotiations or Court proceedings required to determine a value for business interests
  7. division of relationship and trust assets through negotiation or, if necessary, litigation
  8. sale and purchase of property
